How to Translate Emails in Outlook App

Translating emails in the Outlook app is easy. You don't need to visit Bing or Google Translate, you can use the built-in Outlook Translator add-in instead. Here's how to get started.

1. How to install a required program

The first step to translating emails in the Outlook app is to install the Translator add-in for Outlook from the Office Store. You will need to visit this page and log in with your work account or the email address you use in the Outlook app. If you prefer, you can also sign in with your personal Microsoft account, so you can also add additional features to your secondary account from the Outlook app in Windows 10.

Once done, you can check if the add-in is enabled by going to the Outlook app in Windows 10. Once the app is open, it will take you to the main bar at the top. Click the Home tab, then click Get Add-ons. You can then click My Add-ins to make sure Translator for Outlook is enabled.

2. Run add-ons

Now that you have installed the add-in from the Office Store, you can open email in foreign languages. You should see the Translate Messages option on the Home tab. Clicking on this will automatically translate the message, but you can also select a different language by selecting the drop-down menu next to Translate to.

If you wish, you can also copy and paste the translated message just like a regular email. You can then close the translated message by clicking the X at the top of the Translator window.

Or you can translate just what you want to translate with drags in new mail as below.
